Most USB microscope spec sheets are written to impress, not inform. Here's what actually determines whether a scope is useful. Working distance: the gap between the bottom of the objective lens and the specimen when in focus. For PCB inspection and soldering, you need roughly 100mm or more — anything less and your hands can't fit under the scope while you work.
